Catching the light from the setting sun the contrail from the rising Space Shuttle Discovery delight the crowd gathered on the top level of Saint Petersburg’s Pier. This was mission STS-119 to service the International Space Station. It can take nearly thirty seconds from the moment the Space Shuttle leaves the ground to appear on the Tampa Bay horizon.
