Built out of one of the abandoned sponge warehouses, the Sponge Factory sits right on the water and off the street. It can be a little hard to find as there are a few buildings between it and the street, however it is well worth the visit. The best part of your visit will be the exploration of the Sponge Diver Museum that lives in the back half of the Sponge Factory. It details the history of sponge fishing and how it came to Tarpon Springs. Best of all the museum is free!
