Like many places in Tampa Bay, the city of Sarasota uses reclaimed water for irrigation. This means the water is not safe for human consumption and should be avoided. Florida’s low water table encourages municipalities and individuals to work at water conservation whenever possible, least seawater invade and destroy fresh water sources.
